Trains and cruises: how much margin to leave
From Andorra la Vella to central Barcelona it is about 192 km, roughly 2 h 45 without traffic. Add the Spanish customs post at La Farga de Moles and the entrance to Barcelona, which can be slow at rush hour and on Sunday evenings. For a train or a cruise, we suggest leaving at least four hours before departure from the capital, and more from the higher villages or on the busiest days.
When you book, tell us your train or boarding time and we will confirm whether the pick-up time leaves a sensible margin.

Entering Andorra and coming back: what to know
Andorra is not in the European Union: there is a customs post on the CG-1 (Riu Runer, 848 m), between La Seu d’Urgell and Sant Julià de Lòria. Going in is usually quick; coming back, there are queues on Sunday afternoons and at the end of long weekends.
Coming back to Spain (allowances per person)
Under-17s have no tobacco or alcohol allowance. Anything above the allowance must be declared at customs.

Going in
- A valid ID card or passport for every passenger, children included.
- If you need a Schengen visa, it must be double or multiple entry: you re-enter the EU on the way back.

- From 1 November to 15 May, winter equipment is compulsory on every road in Andorra; with snow, colour phases set speed limits.
