The route: the C-16, the border and the CG-3
From Barcelona Airport it is about 210 km, a little over three hours without traffic. As far as the border the route is the same as to the capital: the C-16 and the Cadí tunnel, or the C-14 via Ponts, then La Seu d’Urgell. Inside Andorra, the driver goes through Andorra la Vella and takes the CG-3 up to Ordino, about 10 km further, or the CG-4 to La Massana.
The border is crossed with a document for each passenger and, in Andorra, the usual customs rules apply. Our travel guide explains what to carry and how queues work. Allow a margin for the border on busy weekends and at the start and end of school holidays.

Ordino, El Serrat and Arcalís: three places on one road
Ordino is the parish capital, with a pretty historic centre and a good choice of hotels and apartments. The road continues past El Serrat, a hamlet at the end of the valley, up to Arcalís, the ski area, whose slopes run from about 1,940 m to 2,625 m. According to the ski resort guides, Arcalís is roughly 22 km from Andorra la Vella. In high season, ask your hotel whether it has a shuttle to the slopes; if you prefer, we can drop you at the lift base instead of the hotel.
La Massana is the gateway to Vallnord’s other sector, Pal Arinsal; for the slopes of Pal and for Arinsal village, see Barcelona Airport to Arinsal and Pal. La Massana itself is a town with shops and a quieter atmosphere than the larger resorts.

Ordino is also a good base outside the snow season: walks in the Sorteny valley, the villages and the mountains around them. The transfer is the same all year, and the price you see in the search box does not depend on the season. Cancelling between 24 hours and the minimum notice (3 hours; 8 hours at weekends, on public holidays and their eves) may incur a charge; below the minimum, the booking can no longer be cancelled. Extras requested on the spot (more waiting, more luggage, stops) are agreed with the driver before setting off. How far is Ordino from Barcelona Airport?
About 210 km and a little over three hours without traffic. Arcalís, further up the valley, adds roughly another half hour.
Do you go to the Arcalís slopes?
Yes. Enter the lift base as your destination address if you prefer that to the hotel. Most people drop their luggage at the accommodation first.
Do you serve La Massana too?
Yes. La Massana, Ordino, El Serrat and the nearby villages are on the same route. Enter the exact address when you book.
Do I need a passport?
Andorra is not in the EU or the Schengen area, so every passenger, children included, needs a valid ID card or passport. Check the requirements for your nationality before you travel.

Do you have child seats?
