The longest route in Andorra
From El Prat it is about 228 km, roughly three and a half hours without traffic. As far as Soldeu the route is the same: your driver enters at La Farga de Moles, crosses Andorra la Vella and Encamp and climbs the CG-2. Beyond Soldeu the road keeps rising towards the Envalira pass, the highest road pass in the Pyrenees at about 2,400 metres. A toll tunnel avoids the highest part of the pass.
Pas de la Casa sits on the other side, on the slope facing France, at about 2,080 metres. Grau Roig, the other sector in this area, comes first, in a mountain cirque with a handful of hotels and direct access to the slopes.

Envalira in the snow
Envalira is the most exposed stretch of the route. In heavy snow or strong wind, the Andorran authorities can restrict traffic or require winter equipment, and in the most severe episodes they close the pass for a few hours. When that happens, your driver follows their instructions and we keep you updated on WhatsApp with your estimated arrival time.
If your trip coincides with a snow warning, consider leaving earlier or taking an earlier flight. Because flight tracking is included, if you change flights you only need to tell us.

The village is small and built on a slope, with one-way streets and plenty of activity when the lifts open and close. We drop you at the door of your hotel or apartment. If you arrive on a Saturday afternoon, changeover day for many properties, allow for a little more traffic at the entrance to the village.

When to book
Christmas, the December bank holidays, Carnival and Easter are the busiest weeks in Pas de la Casa. If you are travelling then, book early: you will have more choice of vehicle, and you can cancel free of charge up to 24 hours before if your plans change.

Cancelling between 24 hours and the minimum notice (3 hours; 8 hours at weekends, on public holidays and their eves) may incur a charge; below the minimum, the booking can no longer be cancelled. What happens if the Envalira pass is closed?
Your driver follows the instructions of the Andorran authorities and we let you know the new estimated time. Closures usually last a few hours, during the heaviest snowfalls.
