The journey
From Barcelona Airport it is about 212 km, just over three hours without traffic. The driver enters Andorra at La Farga de Moles, crosses Andorra la Vella, Escaldes and Encamp and keeps climbing the CG-2 to Canillo, at around 1,500 m.
From 1 November to 15 May, Andorra requires winter equipment on its road network, and our vehicles carry it. If snow is forecast, allow more time and check “The road right now” on this page.

What is in Canillo
A gondola leaves the village for the El Forn sector of Grandvalira, and the Palau de Gel d’Andorra, with its ice rink, is in Canillo itself. On the road just before the village stands the Meritxell sanctuary, dedicated to Andorra’s patron saint, whose day on 8 September is a national holiday: see the calendar.

Families and groups
Canillo is a popular family base thanks to its size and its apartments. In the booking box you enter passengers, suitcases and ski bags, and we only show vehicles where everything fits. Child seats, compulsory under 135 cm, are a paid extra you choose when booking. See also Andorra with kids.

The return
To get back to Barcelona Airport, allow just over three hours from Canillo plus a margin for customs and, in winter, for snow. The price depends on the date and time of the transfer; you see it in full before paying.

Cancelling between 24 hours and the minimum notice (3 hours; 8 hours at weekends, on public holidays and their eves) may incur a charge; below the minimum, the booking can no longer be cancelled.
