From Vallnord to Pal Arinsal
For years, Pal, Arinsal and Ordino-Arcalís were sold together under the name Vallnord. Today Pal Arinsal is part of Grandvalira Resorts, but the old name lives on in many guides and searches. If you have booked accommodation in “Vallnord”, it is most likely in Arinsal, Pal or La Massana.
It is a quieter area than Grandvalira, with plenty of family accommodation and ski schools, and it is only a few kilometres from Andorra la Vella.

What time will you reach your hotel?

The route via La Massana
From Barcelona Airport it is about 210 km, around three hours without traffic. After the La Farga de Moles border and the entrance to Andorra la Vella, your driver does not cross the whole country as for Grandvalira: instead, the route turns off towards La Massana on the CG-3 and follows the CG-4 to Arinsal, at the head of the valley.
Pal is reached from La Massana by another, narrower mountain road up to the village and the base of the slopes. If your accommodation is in Pal, Erts or a hillside development, mention it when booking so your driver can plan for it.
Where we drop you
Arinsal has a gondola that leaves from the village itself, and many hotels are a short walk away. We drop you at the door of your accommodation in Arinsal, Pal, Erts or La Massana. If you would rather start the day on the slopes, we can also drop you by the lifts, although most people stop at the hotel first to leave their luggage.
If you are staying in Ordino or near Arcalís, message us: it is a different valley and we will confirm the route and the price.
Families, children and luggage
If you travel with children you can request child seats when booking: they are compulsory below 135 cm, your driver brings them and they are charged separately, with a small supplement. Children count as passengers in the search box. If you are bringing a pushchair, skis and suitcases, enter everything and we will offer a vehicle with enough room.
Arriving with time to spare
La Massana is a quiet parish, but getting through Andorra la Vella can be slow at peak times and on Saturday afternoons. If you land around midday, you will normally reach Arinsal by mid-afternoon, with time to pick up your lift pass or rental gear. If you arrive at night, your driver drops you at the hotel door even if reception has closed: let us know if your accommodation has special check-in hours.
The price you see when booking is per vehicle, not per person, and includes the tolls on the route. It does not change with traffic or if your driver has to take another road because of snow.

Cancelling between 24 hours and the minimum notice (3 hours; 8 hours at weekends, on public holidays and their eves) may incur a charge; below the minimum, the booking can no longer be cancelled. Extras requested on the spot (more waiting, more luggage, stops) are agreed with the driver before setting off. Frequently asked questions
Are Vallnord and Pal Arinsal the same thing?
Pal Arinsal is the La Massana ski area that used to be part of Vallnord. The Vallnord name is still used, but today Pal Arinsal belongs to Grandvalira Resorts.
How long does it take from Barcelona Airport to Arinsal?
Around three hours without traffic, for about 210 km. It is a little closer than Soldeu or Pas de la Casa because you do not cross the whole country.
