The route: from the Cadí to the CG-2
From Barcelona Airport it is about 219 km, a little over three hours without traffic. As far as the border, the route is the same as to the capital: the C-16 and the Cadí tunnel, or the C-14 via Ponts, then La Seu d’Urgell. Inside Andorra, your driver crosses Andorra la Vella and Encamp and climbs the CG-2 up the Valira d’Orient valley, through Canillo, to El Tarter and Soldeu.
The climb from the capital is about 25 km of valley road, with bends and a few steeper sections. It is a main road kept open in winter, but heavy snowfall slows the traffic. If the weather changes, we let you know your estimated arrival time.

Soldeu, El Tarter and Canillo: where we drop you
Soldeu is a one-street village with hotels on both sides and a gondola that rises to the slopes from the village itself. El Tarter is a few kilometres further down and also has direct access to Grandvalira. Canillo, lower still, has its own gondola up to the El Forn sector. They are three different villages on the same road: give us the hotel name or the apartment address and we drop you at the door.
If your accommodation is in a hillside development, like those above El Tarter, mention it when booking. Some streets are narrow and steep, and your driver needs to know so the right vehicle is assigned.
Skis, boots and suitcases in one vehicle
A ski transfer carries more than an ordinary trip: big suitcases, ski or snowboard bags, boot bags and, if you travel with children, child seats. In the search box you add your ski bags as well as your suitcases, and we only show the categories where everything fits. Ski bags are charged as special luggage at the published rate, and you see the full price before you pay.
If you are renting equipment in Soldeu, there is no need to count it: travel with your own luggage and pick up your gear at the shop when you arrive.
Winter in the mountains
Andorra requires winter equipment on its roads during the snow season, and in Catalonia the obligation applies wherever the relevant sign is shown on a stretch of road. Drivers who go up to the resorts every day know these rules and follow the instructions of the traffic authorities. With snow, allow 30 to 45 minutes more than the usual time. What the price includes
Cancelling between 24 hours and the minimum notice (3 hours; 8 hours at weekends, on public holidays and their eves) may incur a charge; below the minimum, the booking can no longer be cancelled. Extras requested on the spot (more waiting, more luggage, stops) are agreed with the driver before setting off.
